Alvaro is a fascinating blend between heavy-rich malt beer and fruit. Its non alcoholic and sells in two fruit flavours
ALVARO,produced by Diageo - the world's largest premium drinks maker, and East African Breweries Limited - East Africa's leading brewer, is a fascinating blend between that heavy and rich taste of malt beer and fruit.
It is predominantly fruit tasting, sparkling gold in colour and comes in two flavours-pineapple and pear.
ALVARO is packaged in a stylish embossed green 330ml bottle with an emotive and contemporary labeling giving it a sophisticated and outstanding facade.
Demand for Alvaro in East Africa, is definitely on the rise. So much so that Coca-Cola recently launched "Novida" in order to wade off competition emanating from Alvaro for its major products-Coke, Fanta and Sprite. But Novida hasn't been so much of a success, with Alvaro continuing to spur market demand and making significant inroads into the soft drink industry which had previously been the sole playground of Coca Cola.
As of August 2009 more than 7 million bottles had been sold in Kenya alone since production began two years ago
